چکیده

A novel linear tunable transconductor based on a combination of linearization techniques is presented. The input signal is transferred to the – conversion element by means of a high-speed feedback loop. Then, the linear – conversion is accomplished using quasi-floating-gate MOS transistors biased in the triode region. Finally, the absence of current mirrors in the signal path provides low sensitivity to transistor mismatch and reduces the harmonic distortion. The operational transconductance amplifier (OTA) was fabricated in a 0.5m CMOS technology with a single 3.3-V supply voltage. Experimental results show a total harmonic distortion of 78 dB at 1 MHz with 1-V input signal. High linearity of the OTA is obtained over a two octave tuning range with only 1.25-mW power consumption.

Design of Highly Linear Tunable CMOS OTA for Continuous-Time Filters

An analytical method based on the standard square-law metal–oxide–semiconductor (MOS) modeling for the design of highly linear, fully differential complementary metal–oxide–semiconductor (CMOS) operational transconductance amplifier (OTA) is presented. The proposed circuit implementation combines a cross-coupled quad cell and a source-coupled differential pair, as well as the current mirror tec...

A Fully Balanced Pseudo-Differential OTA With Common-Mode Feedforward and Inherent Common-Mode Feedback Detector

A pseudo-differential fully balanced fully symmetric CMOS operational transconductance amplifier (OTA) architecture with inherent common-mode detection is proposed. Through judicious arrangement, the common-mode feedback circuit can be economically implemented. The OTA achieves a third harmonic distortion of 43 dB for 900 mVpp at 30 MHz. The OTA, fabricated in 0.5m CMOS process, is used to desi...
